How we price

For every wine and vintage we read current listings from US retailers and take the middle offer, not the highest or lowest. A listing only counts if it is the exact wine and the exact vintage.

Half bottles, magnums, six-packs and second wines (Carruades de Lafite counted as Lafite, for example) are thrown out. If too few shops list a vintage, we leave it out rather than guess.

Price your own cellar like this

Caveau values every bottle you own by its exact vintage, from the same shop listings.
